Ferdinand Foch


October 2, 1851-March 20, 1929. He was a French soldier. He serveed as the General in the French army during World War 1 and was made Marshal of France on his final year. Foch was chosen as supreme commander of the Allied armies, a position that he held until November 11th on 1918, when he accepted the German request for an armistice.
